In what will come across as a really shocking development, a man has been found out to have done horrific things to his own kids.
Bidhya Sagar Das
A man identified as Bidhya Sagar Das has appeared in court charged with the murder of his one-year-old son and the attempted murder of his daughter.
According to Daily Mail UK, both children, named Gabriel and Maria, were discovered with critical injuries at a flat in Finsbury Park, north London, on Saturday night.
They were taken to hospital, where Gabriel sadly died in the early hours of Sunday morning. Three days on from the incident, little Maria's condition remains critical.
The twins' father Bidhya Sagar Das, 33, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court in east London today charged with murder and attempted murder.

Judge Gareth Branston said: 'This is a charge of murder and attempted murder. It is a case which must be sent to the crown court.'

Dressed in a light grey tracksuit and with his black hair swept off his forehead, Das sat stony faced as his case was sent to the Old Bailey.
Police found the two children seriously injured after being called to an address in Finsbury Park late on Saturday evening.
Witnesses said they heard a woman shouting for help on the street outside at around 11.10pm on Saturday and later saw two children being carried out of the property.
A woman living opposite the building said she opened the window to offer help after hearing a woman, believed to be the children's mother Christinela Datcu, shouting: 'My kids, my kids!'
Another neighbour said the children were twins who lived on the top floor with their Romanian mother and Indian father - who worked as a night receptionist at the nearby Pembury Hotel for seven years, but apparently quit his job last week.
